Queen Creek motorists are being warned of upcoming road closures that will be in effect from 9 p.m. July 25 until 5 a.m. July 28.
Rittenhouse Road between Hawes and Sossaman roads will be closed as well as Germann Road between the new realigned Rittenhouse Road and Sossaman Road will also be closed.
Crews will be finishing the connection for the new alignment of Rittenhouse Road in the area east of Sossaman Road. Once completed, traffic will be traveling on the new alignment that will intersect with Sossaman Road about a quarter mile south of the current intersection.
During the closure, traffic should use Germann Road to Ellsworth Road, then south to Rittenhouse Road; or use Ocotillo Road to Rittenhouse Road, then south. Local residential traffic will be allowed access on Rittenhouse Road from the Hawes Road intersection only. No access to Sossaman Road will be maintained.
This new alignment will also require the closure of the short piece of Germann Road between the new alignment of Rittenhouse Road and Sossaman Road. It will remain closed indefinitely.
A new traffic signal is anticipated to be activated at the intersection of Sossaman Road and new Rittenhouse Road on July 25.
